Mass Summer Jobs. The town of Sandwich
is located just over the Sagamore Bridge and is Cape Cod’s oldest town,
having been incorporated in 1639. The town of Sandwich Mass has a rich
cultural heritage including many museums and gardens, antique homes and
estates, and properties listed in the National Historic Register. There
are several public recreational areas for those interested in swimming
and boating, biking and walking paths, and over 1,300 acres of conservation
area. There are many public tennis courts, playgrounds and public beaches
for Sandwich residents to enjoy. There are 4 schools in the Sandwich Public
school system. Sandwich has a growing population and offers many
of the summer jobs available on Cape Cod.
Yarmouth
Mass. The town of Yarmouth is located in the Mid Cape Cod area.
Incorporated in 1639, Yarmouth has a diverse mixture of properties, from
the hisitorically rich village of Yarmouthport located near Route 6A, where
many sea captains' homes and antique properties are located, to South Yarmouth
area, where residential homes and neighborhoods border Rte 28, the commercial
center of Yarmouth. Bordered by water on the south and the north, the town
of Yarmouth is as diverse as it's neighborhoods. The Yarmouth summer job
market consist of restaurant jobs, motel and hotel employment, cottage
cleaning positions from the large summer rental market, lifeguard positions
and retail employment.
Barnstable
Mass, the largest town on Cape Cod, consists of 7 villages, Barnstable,
Centerville, Cotuit, Hyannis, Marstons Mills, West Barnstable, and Osterville.
Hyannis is perhaps the best know of these villages and is the commercial
center of both Barnstable and Cape Cod. From Osterville in Cotuit, to the
Ocean Street docks in Hyannis and the Kennedy Memorial in Hyannisport,
Barnstable has something for everyone. There are antique homes and shops
that can be found along Rte 6 A in the Barnstable Village area. There are
probably more summer jobs in Barnstable than any other town on Cape Cod.
This is due to the size and villages of Barnstable as well as the large
commercial business sector that is centered in Haynnis.
Bourne
Mass. The Town of Bourne Massachusetts is a rural community
at the gateway to Cape Cod. Being at the foot of Cape Cod, yet near the
major highways to Boston and Providence, Bourne offers the best of both
worlds being a seaside community yet having easy access to the regions
major cities. Bourne has many quiet harbors and inlets for boating, swimming,
and shellfishing. Bourne is a quiet community withou much oft the summer
tourist crush experienced by some of the other Cape communities.
Brewster
Mass is located in the Lower Cape Cod
area. This historic sea captains' town located on the bay side of Cape
Cod. Established in 1803, Brewster encompasses about twenty three square
miles, including 325+ acres of beach and marshlands. With dozens of ponds
and over 700 acres of open space, Brewster is a wonderful place to visit
or to live and work. This Cape Cod town offers summer employment including
restaurant positions, housecleaning jobs, retail and tourist related positions,
and opportunities at Nickerson State Park. A great place for a Cape Cod
summer job, especially if you can also live in Brewster during the summer
season.
Dennis
Mass is located in the Mid Cape, and combines traditional New England
heritage with modern day conveniences. The town of Dennis includes the
villages of East Dennis, Dennis and South Dennis West Dennis and Dennisport.
The Dennisport and West Dennis areas are located near Rte 28, the commercial
district of Dennis. Here you will find oceanview homes in the "fingers"
section as well as summer vacation rental homes and cottages. There are
many Cape Cod summer jobs and employment opportunites in Dennis, due in
part to the very active summer rental market. From cottage cleaning, landscaping
positions, restaurant and food service jobs.
Falmouth
Mass is located in Upper Cape Cod, Falmouth is geographically large
town, and has one of the longest coastlines in the Massachusetts. There
is considerable land development in Falmouth, with many waterfront and
waterfront homes being built and sold at any time. Due to it's proximity
to the Sagamore Bridge and major highways, Falmouth is an attractive option
for those who live and vacation on Cape Cod, yet have easy access to the
major off-Cape cities. The Cape Cod summer job and seasonal employment
market in Falmouth is as active as any on the Cape. From restaurants and
pubs, landscaping and housecleaning, chambermains and hotel work, Falmouth
offers an exciting work environment.
Plymouth
Mass. The town of Plymouth is a coastal community in southeastern
Massachusetts, approximately 5 miles north of the Cape Cod Canal. The job
market in Plymouth Mass has been extermely active over the past several
years. New homes and neighborhoods have been created through the town.
Plymouth has the largest area of any town in the Commonwealth and there
is significant open space to be enjoyed by those living and owning property
in the town of Plymouth. While not really part of Cape Cod, the summer
and seasonal job market in the Plymouth area increases and the tourist
industry picks on on ther Cape. Plymouth is certainly a own you would want
to consider wwhen looking for summer work.
Wareham
Mass. Wareham is located at the head of Buzzards Bay, at the entrance
of Cape Cod. Many of the tourist amenities of the Cape Cod are available
in Wareham and the town offers a diverse selection of property styles,
from waterfront and waterview real estate to condominium living to seasonal
cottages and summer homes. The town of Wareham has over 54 miles of coastline
which includes many beaches, estuaries, rivers and ponds that compliment
this growing community. The best of both worlds, employment and jobs in
Wareham are numerous and can include retail work, hotel and accommodation
industry positions, beach and lifeguard related, bartendering positions
and waitstaff are also summer positions found in Wareham.
Mashpee
Mass. The Cape Cod town of Mashpee has more than five miles of sandy
beaches on Nantucket and Vineyard Sounds, including extensive waterfront
areas on Waquoit and Popponesset Bays. Located on the Upper Cape, Mashpee
offers four of the largest freshwater ponds on Cape Cod. There are considerable
retail and restaurants in the Mashpee area and this is a good place to
begin your searchg for a summer job or year round employment. |
